Up Next: Castle Keep

Life took some crazy turns over the past few months, but things have settled down again. With that, I hope to resume posting regular action movie reviews again. I’m going to aim for at least one per week, but I may well be able to go a bit faster.

First up after this long break will be Castle Keep, an old World War II movie from 1969. I hope to post this review later tonight.

Up Next: Jumper

I took in Jumper over the weekend. I will be posting a review later this week.

One of the big questions I had going into the film was whether they could hold the thing together in light of the film’s interesting yet potentially problematic premise: teleportation. I envisioned a film ridden with plot holes. But I won’t give anything away yet. Tune in later this week for the full Jumper review.

This will be the first 2008 film that I’ll review.

Up Next: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe

I was finally able to slow life down enough to watch The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, which had been sitting in its red Netflix envelope for over two weeks. I’ll be posting this review on Tuesday.

Up Next: Flyboys

Our next review will be of the 2006 movie Flyboys, which pretty much has this century’s World War I aerial combat genre to itself. The movie features drama on the ground and action in the air, but does it stay airborne?

Tune in next Tuesday to see!

Up Next: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Our next review will take us back to the Harry Potters series, for the second film in the series. I’ll review Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

On the whole I liked the first film for its effective portrayal of the world of Harry Potter, but felt the film struggled with both its story and acting components. We’ll see if the second film presents these elements a bit better.

The review will go up this coming Tuesday.
