Movie Review Site: Celluloid Hereos

I love finding other good movie review sites. Recently, I stumbled onto Celluloid Heroes after reading through the latest Carnival of Cinema at Nehring the Edge.

Celluloid Heroes is the collection of reviews of Paul McElligott, who is the sole creator of the site. McElligott is quickly closing in on nearly 300 reviews of movies of all types. The site is clean and easy to navigate. His reviews have good substance and are thoughtful looks at each film. I especially like the ability to look at his reviews by year of release, which gives some interesting looks at film history.

Enjoy!

Carnival of Cinema, Episode XXI

Once again, we have a review in the Carnival of Cinema, over at Nehring the Edge. This time they’ve included our Ghost Rider review.

As usual, the carnival has some great links to other film reviews and articles. Enjoy!

Carnival of Cinema, Episode XX

Our recent Thunderball review is part of the 20th Carnival of Cinema over at Nehring the Edge. As always, the carnival contains a bunch of links to interesting articles and reviews about the cinema world.

On a related note, Kaboom Review will be the host for the March 30, 2007 edition of Carnival of Cinema. We’re looking forward to it!

Carnival of Cinema, Episode XIX

Our Conan review is part of this week’s Carnival of Cinema, hosted on Nehring the Edge. The carnival is a great way to catch up on some recently published movie reviews and articles, with lots of links to good blogs about films and the film industry. Enjoy!

Speaking of good blogs, Nehring the Edge, which is the regular host of the Carnival of Cinema, is an excellent movie blog with an immense library of reviews. If you’re looking for information on a movie, that is a great place to find it.

A Public Apology

In our entertainment links section, we formerly had links to two blogs: TV Shows & Series Reviews on DVD; and TV Addicts Review. Both of these sites had excellent short reviews on various TV shows and series. At the end of each review, there were direct and exclusive links to TVDVD Planet and TVAddicts.tv websites, which sold the DVDs. This makes it clear to me that the blogs and the sites are connected commercially.

In looking up some Google search engine results, I stumbled onto numerous complaints that both TVDVD Planet and TVAddicts.tv sell only bootleg Asian DVDs, if they ship anything at all. I could find no positive comments about either of the two merchants. TVDVD Planet has since closed down.

Kaboom Review will in no way be affiliated with or condone illegal bootlegging of copyrighted material. Nor do we wish to be connected in any way with merchants with such a poor reputation.

I apologize to any of our readers that may have been misled by our connection to these merchants, however indirectly through their softsell blogs. I have removed all links to their blogs and sites from this site, and will strive to more closely examine any site or blog I affiliate with, recommend, or link to in the future.

Sincerely,
Mike “Godzilla” Blitz
Owner, Kaboom Review
