Preview Impressions: Live Free or Die Hard

Live Free or Die Hard, the fourth movie in the Die Hard series, is set for release this coming July. I took a quick look at the trailer this afternoon. I have to admit that I am a bit skeptical that Bruce Willis can pull off the action hero role at his advanced age. But after watching the trailer, it looks like other elements in the movie could more than compensate for this drawback.

The trailer is a slick, well edited piece with a convincing musical score. The action scenes impressively destroy cars and helicopters. One of the neat aspects of the trailer is that there is only one spoken line at the end, yet the use of imagery gives a good sense of what the movie will be about. Nice stuff.

I still have doubts about Willis, but the trailer raised my hopes.
